A true road warrior, Sy spends an easy 3/4ths of a year on the road traversing the globe playing on stages, both big and small. She has worked with a bevy of artists, with a short list including, Sheila E, Chris Botti, The Brand New Heavies, and The Foreign Exchange Though she now makes Los Angeles, California her home, she was raised in Washington, DC and is quick to let anyone within an earshot of her know how 'gangsta' she is.
